Walls & Partitions
Bring in light from another room while still creating an area of privacy. Glass walls and partitions are an environmentally responsible alternative to standard drywall and not the premium that many designers may think.
Laminated Glass, Lacquered Glass & More
The first design consideration is what type of glass wall system is desired: sill and head channel walls create a seamless blend with the floor and ceiling; stick-built walls provide the flexibility for dismantling and moving; and unitized walls are pre-fabricated wall systems that set easily into place as a single unit.Regardless of wall type, the most important consideration when choosing the right glass for walls and partitions is safety. In the event of breakage, laminated glass adheres to the PVB interlayer to prevent injury. Plus, laminated glass offers sound control that standard glass does not. From an aesthetics perspective, colors, lacquered glass and textures can create varying levels of privacy, alter light levels and visibility, or serve as a design element on its own.
