Standard clear glass has a greenish tint, which can become more prominent as glass thickness increases. Guardian UltraClear low-iron glass reduces the greenish color most visible around the edges of standard float glass to deliver a brilliantly transparent and neutral glass.

Laminated Glass

Produced when two or more panes of glass are bonded together by a durable plastic interlayer, laminated glass is multi-purpose. It not only enhances the safety and sound transmission of the glass, but it is also a way to achieve color when a tinted PVB layer is used.

Float Glass Substrates

Iron is what causes clear float glass to have a slightly green appearance. By increasing or decreasing iron levels, as well as adding other metals such as cobalt or nickel to the batch composition during the manufacturing process, Guardian can deliver the color that will enhance your design objectives.
